Yeats Award for Best Poem, all while working in a video store to support his writing habit. Shane has performed with such notables as Maya Angelou, Quincy Troupe, Utah Phillips, and Sage Francis; he has opened for Ani Difranco, Spearhead, and Saul Williams.
